Basic Organizational Change Management Structure

The way we design and implement OmniAnalytics is structured by a comprehensive implementation plan. We approached this with the same diligence as any project, collaborating with your subject matter experts to agree on deliverables, setting clear expectations, and ensuring everything is completed on time and within budget.

Organizational Change Management (OCM) Framework Overview

OmniData's Organizational Change Management (OCM) framework is designed to ensure a smooth transition and successful adoption of OmniAnalytics within an organization. The core OCM process is defined in three phases:

  1. Broad Email Communication
    • Email 1 – A Change is Coming: This email serves as a broad introduction to the change and OmniAnalytics. It aims to share knowledge about the project, introduce standardized tools for accessing data in OmniAnalytics through Power BI, and provide links to introductory Power BI videos.
    • Email 2 – Change Leader and Communication to Power Users/Champions: This email introduces the Change Leader (a C-level executive sponsor) and invites selected individuals to become change champions for reporting and analytics in their departments. It aims to align expectations and create a dialogue with potential Power Users/Champions.
    • Email 3 – Share with the Rest of the Organization the Journey: This email introduces the Business Leads, communicates the launch plan and timeline, and outlines the next steps in the OCM process, including Lunch and Learn sessions, task-specific videos, and training.
  2. Lunch and Learn Sessions
    • Session 1 – Project Update & OmniAnalytics in Power BI Intro: This session provides an update on the project and introduces OmniAnalytics in Power BI. It includes an interactive showcase of OmniAnalytics, covering how to access Power BI, available data, and a high-level overview of security.
    • Session 2 – Business Unit Specific Session: This session is led by Business Leads and provides an overview of business unit-specific reports and dashboards. It is designed to encourage questions and interaction within smaller groups.
  3. Task-Specific Videos and Training
    • Task-Specific Videos in SharePoint: Short videos (1-1.5 minutes) are made available in SharePoint to introduce OmniAnalytics reports in Power BI. These videos cover topics such as accessing Power BI, navigating to OmniAnalytics reports, and an overview of reports and dashboards per department.
    • Power User Training: A 3-4 hour training session covering the use of Power BI to access and enhance data from OmniAnalytics. This training is often defined as "Dashboard in a Day."
    • General User Training: A 90-minute training session covering the use of Power BI to view and filter reports, and create new reports from existing Promoted or Certified datasets.

By adopting this structured OCM framework and adapting it to the specific needs of the organization, OmniData ensures a successful roll-out and adoption of OmniAnalytics, enhancing the overall user experience and driving business growth.
