Power BI Tips & Tricks: Expandable Sidebar

One of our favorite Power BI tricks is the expandable sidebar. Instead of having slicers taking up all the space on a page, you can hide or expand a sidebar to make everything look more organized.

In this video, learn how to create a cool expandable sidebar, hide and show any visual on the page. The trick to this is to use bookmarks and the selection pane. Create bookmarks, assign them to anything on the page, set the action and link the bookmark. You end up with a beautiful intuitive expandable sidebar!
